All of Gish’s Furniture Design Consultants have the ability and talent to help you discover your unique vision for your space. Call and request an in-home consultation (subject to designers discretion and distance), and you’ll be on your way to having rooms you love. During this process, our consultants will help you with the following:

Grace G.

Designer

Grace Gish is the matriarch of the Gish family. She has been married to Sam Gish for 60 years. She is the proud mother of five. Grace was instrumental in helping Michael during the formative years of Gish’s furniture and remains active in the business to this day.You may see her at any one of our store locations actively helping customers find just the right piece of furniture for their homes. She loves to sell tables, and has an expert knowledge base on all table types. She considers it a privilege to help customers find tables knowing this is where they will eat, tell stories, and create memories.She loves baking cookies which many customers have sampled over the years. She also carries Gish’s Furniture’s secret ice-cream recipe close to her chest.


Curt Y.
Store: Lancaster, PA
Designer

Curt is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University with a BS in Business Administration. Curt has been selling furniture with Gish”s for over 10 years. During these years he has gotten to know many of the craftsmen and knows where to find just the right furniture for your home. Curt loves selling high quality, custom made Amish furniture at the Lancaster PA store.


Lona E.
Store: Camp Hill, PA
Designer

Lona is a graduate of Bradley Academy of the Visual Arts. Since the completion of her studies in interior design, she has been working in her desired field, decorating homes beautifully. She has been with Gish’s Furniture since 2007, and is an important part of Gish’s team. Her reason for being so loyal to us is the pleasant work environment and the enjoyment she gets from knowing all her customers are investing in pieces they will enjoy for generations to come. If she can’t have fun or help you find a solution to whatever you have going on, she isn’t satisfied. Lona is happy to help you in the planning and decision making journey both in the store and in your home.


Rick F.

Designer

Rick is a graduate of Messiah College with a BS in Business Administration. After spending 14 years in furniture sales with a mainline store, Rick shifted his career to selling custom-made Amish furniture in 2004. In 2008, he joined Gish’s Furniture as the manager of its new store in Lancaster, PA. Rick enjoys the flexibility and customization available with handcrafted furnishings. This allows him to help his clients create pieces that are “uniquely theirs.” An added benefit is the satisfaction of knowing his customers will be thrilled with the quality and craftsmanship of their furniture for a lifetime.


Leigh W.
Store: Lancaster, PA
Designer

Leigh is a graduate of West Chester University, as well as Moore College of Art & Design. For nearly 20 years, she has enjoyed working in varied disciplines of design, from bathroom and kitchen to high end 18th century imports and reproductions to even mid-century modern. Her experience includes residential homes, shore homes and mountain retreats. It is not uncommon for clients to come back and collaborate with her on second homes as far away as Colorado, Vermont, and even the Turks & Caicos Islands. She chose to work at Gish’s Furniture because she recognized immediately the integrity of old world Amish craftsmanship, and the value of offering custom furniture built just for her customers.


Heather H.
Store: Cockeysville, MD
Designer

Heather comes to us with an extensive background in design, owing to her experience as a General Manager and Creative Consultant at a high profile catering company in Maryland. She switched her artistic medium to home design, in soft window treatments and home furnishings, 10 years ago. She treats her clients as she would like to be treated—as available and knowledgeable. Her expertise in room design and flow, as well as color blending and style, allows her customers to “visualize” their new space. She is truly inspired by Gish’s uniqueness to the market.


Karen R.

Designer

Karen Roehm graduated from Millersville University, and attended PA School of Art and Design. She works for Gish’s Furniture in Camp Hill, PA where she has learned a wealth of information about Amish made furniture and how it is made. “I want to share this information with you. Empowered with knowledge, you too will be able to enjoy the beautiful, solid wood furniture made by our world renowned craftsmen.” Karen enjoys working with clients in the showroom or in the comfort of their own homes. She creates warm and inviting spaces that reflect the homeowners’ personality.


Marlena G.
Store: Murfreesbor, TN
Designer

Marlena comes to us with a background in interior design and all things artistic. Her creative experience includes everything from staging homes for sale and designing entirely new spaces, to teaching creative art classes to adults and children. Marlena has a passion for helping others create something beautiful and uniquely them.
With her love for both art and design, switching her focus to hand crafted home furnishings, was a natural fit.

Susan K.
Store: Cockeysville, MD
Designer

Susan was one of the first customers when Gish’s opened their Cockeysville store in 2014.. Born and raised in Queens, New York, she developed a love of style at an early age. Her Mom taught her the quality that can be had in hand-made items. In fact, her Grandmother knitted skating outfits from her own patterns for Susan, so she understands and appreciates the furniture quality of the Amish craftsmen available at Gish’s.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Business Administration, Susan worked as a Business Manager for a nonprofit research organization for 35 years. For close to 20 of those years she worked part-time in retail, first at a prestigious craft store, then with clothing and make-up.
Now retired, she is full-time at Gish’s where she treats customers as she would like to be treated: fairly, with respect and giving whatever help and information is needed to help the customer make a decision that will make them happy for years to come.

Trudy G.
Store: Camp Hill, PA
Designer

Trudy comes to Gish’s Furniture with over 35 years of experience in interior design. She owned and managed her own store for 13 years. Trudy listens to her customers ideas, then inspires confidence by offering suggestions to give their room a professional touch. Trudy’s customers appreciate her spunk and sense of humor. She holds a certificate from the New York School of Interior Design. She shares her home with her husband and 3 active dogs.

Mark J.

Mark Johnstonbaugh was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved to Central Pa. in 1978. Mark is an avid golfer and Philadelphia Sports fan. He enjoys cooking and is a coffee connoisseur. Mark truly enjoys interacting and helping people as well as the values that Gish’s incorporates. He always looks forward to learning and exceling in the business and having fun doing so.
